My baby is 2 days old and I am not able to breastfeed. The blood report shows bilirubin is high, so the doctor told to shift to NICU for a day for phototherapy. Is it common? How many days does it take to cure? Is there any risk?

Phototherapy for neonatal jaundice is common and safe. Usually resolves in 1 to 2 days. Monitor feeding, hydration, and bilirubin levels.
