My baby boy is 4 days old and has a cleft lip and palate on one side of his face, from the lip up to the nose. I'm really worried about how to take care of him what should I be doing? Is there a chance for surgery to fix this so he can look like other babies? Could you help guide me on what to expect?

Cleft lip and cleft palate are separations in the upper lip and mouth that occur while a fetus develops in the uterus. Treating cleft lip and palate involves surgery and may include speech therapy and dental work. Your child's medical care team is there to support you each step of the way.

Looking for a skilled surgeon who specializes in underarm surgery for hidradenitis suppurativa. Wondering if laser treatment is a good option for this condition or if surgery would be better. What are the pros and cons of each?
For hidradenitis suppurativa in the underarm area, both laser treatment and surgery can be options, but they have different approaches and outcomes. Laser hair removal, specifically with an alexandrite laser, has shown promise in reducing symptoms and preventing new lesions. Surgery, such as radical excision or laser excision followed by skin grafting, is considered for severe or persistent cases and can offer more definitive results.
