In my blood report S. typhi 1:80 is shown. I have been having fever for one week, which usually comes in the afternoon or evening and starts with chills. My doctor suggested me to take Emal injection for 3 days, and I have already taken one, but I am still concerned about my fever.

A Widal titer of 1:80 may suggest early or mild infection but is not always conclusive. The fever pattern fits typhoid but further testing is advised if fever persists despite treatment.

My Widal test report shows: S. Typhi O: 1:160 (positive) S. Typhi H: 1:80 (positive) I took medication for typhoid, but I still experienced headache, nausea, and giddiness. I consulted another doctor, who said the Widal report may not be reliable and it could just be a viral fever. Could you please clarify whether this report indicates typhoid or not?
