My blood report shows a Mantoux test result with an induration of 22 mm, which is positive. What does this indicate?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
22 mm is strongly positive and suggests TB exposure. A doctor may advise chest Xray or further TB tests depending on symptoms.

View allI am a 23 year old girl suffering from XDR lymphatic tuberculosis and I have been on medication for the last 13 months. The medicines are moxifloxacin, clofazimine, delamanid, bedaquiline and cycloserine. I took capreomycin injection for 8 months. My reports are negative now but I am suffering from body ache, weakness in legs and hands, and breathlessness. My period is due in the next 3 to 4 days. Why is this happening and what should I do?

Hello doctor, my Mantoux test was done two days ago. I attached pictures. Can you please tell me if it is positive or negative? Today the pathology lab where my test was done is closed for 2 days, so please help me. My past history: I was diagnosed with tuberculosis 2 years ago and completed my full course. After doctor consultation, medicine was stopped after 1 year. Again, due to pain in my full body, my physician advised this test. Can you please tell me the result?

We noticed a lump on the left side of my wife neck (age 25, 45 kg, 5.2). At that time, the lump was about the size of a small lemon. We immediately consulted an MD in Internal Medicine, who recommended FNAC and blood tests. The report showed Granulomatous Lymphadenitis with no malignant cells, and her ESR was 15. She experienced mild weakness and slightly elevated body temperature for the first two weeks, but now she feels fine. We have completed a 7 day course of antibiotics, but the lump has not decreased in size. What can be done to reduce the lump?
