My cat bit me again today. I got the Abhayrab vaccine back in July, with the full series of 5 shots. Since the bite happened today, on November 19th, 2017, I'm wondering if I need to get vaccinated again, take a booster, or if I'm already protected and don't need to worry. Could you help me figure out what I should do?

Methi (Fenugreek) and Hypothyroidism
Methi's Effect on Thyroid
- Goitrogenic properties: Methi contains compounds that may interfere with thyroid function, potentially worsening hypothyroidism.
- Thyroid hormone absorption: Methi may also reduce the absorption of thyroid hormones, such as levothyroxine (Thyronorm).
Precautions
- Moderation is key: If you have hypothyroidism, consider limiting or avoiding methi consumption.
- Consult your doctor: Discuss your diet and methi consumption with your doctor to determine the best approach.
Fruits to Limit or Avoid for Thyroid Health
- Pears: High in goitrogens, which may interfere with thyroid function.
- Peaches: Contain a compound that may reduce thyroid hormone production.
- Apricots: High in goitrogens, which may worsen hypothyroidism.
- Plums: Contain a compound that may interfere with thyroid hormone production.
Remember
- Balance is essential: A well-balanced diet with minimal goitrogenic foods can support thyroid health.

View allI'm really worried because I've been dealing with typhoid fever for about a month now and I'm on antibiotics, but around 10 days ago I developed a sore throat and it's just not getting any better. Can you please give me some advice on what's going on with my sore throat? I'm really concerned about it.
Sore throat is usually not related to Typhoid but may occur. Please see a doctor who will examine your throat and advise you accordingly.

I had a scare today when the condom broke while I was with a sex worker around noon. We put on another one and finished, but now I'm really worried. I spoke to a doctor and ended up getting some PEP meds - tinofovir disoproxil and raltegravir zepdon for the next 28 days. I'm freaking out about whether I might still get HIV and when I should get tested. Does PEP actually work in these situations? Can you help explain this to me?
I understand your concern, and it's good that you've already consulted a doctor. **PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)** is effective if started within 72 hours of possible exposure to HIV. Since you started the medication with guidance, it can help reduce the risk of HIV infection. It's important to complete the full 28-day course. You should also follow up with your healthcare provider for HIV testing after about 4 weeks and again at 3 months to ensure accurate results. Stay safe and follow medical advice closely.

I've had a low-grade fever for the past two months, and my doctor recommended some blood tests. The results showed that I have typhoid, my WBC is elevated to 16,000, and my ESR is at 70. I'm really worried about what this could mean and what steps I should take next. Could you please help me understand this better and advise me on what actions are necessary?
HOSPITALIZATION IS IMPORTANT. CONSULT A GENERAL PHYSICIAN M.D.. I.V HIGHER ANTIBIOTICS WITH I.V NORMAL SALINE. ELCTROLYTE IMBALANCE SHOULD BE CORRECTED BY I.V FLUID. DIET IS ALSO TAKEN CARE BY IV FLUIDS. ORAL DIET IS ONLY LIQUIDS SO IT IS PERFECT.
