My dad is 70 and has gallstones plus bile duct stones seen on MRI and CT He also has jaundice with high bilirubin and alkaline phosphatase The report says his CBD is dilated to 20mm with two stones - one near the ampulla and another 17mm stone in the distal CBD Can he just get an ERCP to remove the bile duct stones or does his gallbladder need to come out too What determines whether gallbladder removal is necessary in cases like this

My wife just found out she has an 8mm gallstone at the neck of her gallbladder. Should we be considering surgery for this or are there other options we can explore first? I'm a bit worried about what this means for her health.

I'm 29 and recently got over Typhoid, but now I'm dealing with Jaundice. After a month of treatment, my Bilirubin levels have gone down from 7.3 to 3.2, but my SGPT is at 65.3 and SGOT is at 86, and they haven't really decreased much. Should I be worried about those levels not going down? What could this mean?
