my dad noticed a painful lump near his anus and when we checked with a torch, there's a protruding lump on the side of the anus. it's making it hard for him to pass stool since it seems to be partially blocking the opening. could this lump be cancerous or is there a way to treat it without surgery?

I've had an anal fissure at the 6 o'clock position for the last two months and been using laxatives and ointments. There's also some external bulging at 11 o'clock, but my doctor said it's normal due to the fissure and constipation. Will this heal with just medicine or will I eventually need surgery? I'm currently doing ayurvedic treatment too.
