My ESR rate is 25. The doctor said it could indicate an infection. I want to know what type of infection this might be.

ESR of 25 is mildly raised, suggests inflammation not specific to any infection. Needs correlation with symptoms. Basic infection screen may help.
Dr. Bhanu Suggests...
Take a CBC Test (Complete Blood Count) Test or Take a CRP Test (C - Reactive Protein) Test

View allHi doctors, I did my regular blood report which came normal, but my ESR was 25 mm. I do not have any symptoms nor have I had any infection recently. Why is it high if the normal range is 0 to 15? Please suggest. Is it too high? I am worried.
