My father has been under treatment for kidney problems for the past three months. Two months ago, his test report showed a creatinine level of 3.4, and in today report it has increased to 5.6. Kindly suggest what should be done.

Creatinine rising to 5.6 is alarming and may suggest CKD progression. Immediate nephrologist consultation and renal ultrasound, urine analysis, and eGFR calculation are crucial. He may require dialysis initiation depending on labs. You must do lab tests urgently to guide further care.
Dr. Siri Suggests...
Take a KFT with Electrolytes (Kidney Funtion) Test or Take a eGFR Test (Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate) Test
