My friend has been experiencing this burning sensation in his chest and pain around his heart for the past few weeks, and he's also feeling really weak. We're both getting pretty worried about what's causing this and what it might mean. Any idea what could be going on or what steps we should take next?

View allI was just hanging out on my bed scrolling through my phone when out of nowhere I got this sharp stabbing pain right in the center of my chest. It would come for a few seconds, disappear, and then come back again, this happened on and off for about 3 minutes. I tried lying down but it didn't really help, and finally, when I sat up again it went away, but now I'm just left really freaked out. What could that have been? Should I be worried? No other symptoms though.

Is heart disease more common in people with diabetes?
Yes with time, raised blood sugar levels can damage the blood vessels and nerves that control the heart. Additionally, people with diabetes are also more likely to have other conditions that raise the risk for heart disease such as high blood pressure and deranged cholesterol or triglyceride levels.

I'm a bit worried because my heart rate has been consistently between 105 and 110 beats per minute, even when I'm resting. It's been like this for the last 20 days. Can you tell me what's going on and if I should be concerned?
