My husband has been struggling with swelling and a burning sensation in his wrist for the last couple of weeks. His recent blood work showed a high CRP of 7.12 mgL and an ESR of 11 mgL. Plus, he's got a very low vitamin D level, sitting at 9.23. I'm worried about what might be causing the high CRP, especially since I've noticed his skin turning red near the painful area. The doctor recommended he take Calcirol, CoQ10, and Shelcal HD 12. Could these actually help in reducing his CRP levels?

A small, hard, and painless lump under the skin can be concerning.
Possible causes:
- Ganglion cyst: A common, benign lump that can develop under the skin, often near joints.
- Lipoma: A harmless, fatty lump that can grow under the skin.
- Calcification: A small deposit of calcium that can form under the skin.
- Benign tumor: A non-cancerous growth that can develop under the skin.
What to do:
- Consult a doctor: Schedule an appointment with a primary care physician or a dermatologist.
- Examination and diagnosis: A doctor will examine the lump and may order imaging tests (e.g., ultrasound or X-ray) to determine the cause.
- Treatment options: Depending on the diagnosis, treatment may involve monitoring, removal, or other interventions.
When to seek immediate attention:
- Rapid growth: If the lump grows rapidly or changes in size.
- Pain or tenderness: If the lump becomes painful or tender.
- Redness or swelling: If the surrounding skin becomes red, swollen, or inflamed.

View allI'm having this pain on the right side of my sternum and the MRI mentioned something about subchondral cystic changes. It really bothers me because the pain gets better when I lie on my back, but it comes back as soon as I start moving around or even when I'm just walking. What could be causing this and is there something I should be doing to help with the pain?

My mom has severe osteoarthritis and the doctor recommended knee replacement but we're hesitant to go for surgery. Is there any medicine that can help manage the pain without relying on painkillers? I heard about M1V711 but not sure if it's still approved and available. Also, can Cartigen Duo provide any relief for her condition? Looking for alternatives to reduce her pain.
