My last period was on 22nd July, and my pregnancy test is positive. An ultrasound shows a small gestational sac, but no cardiac activity is detected yet. How long should we wait for cardiac activity to appear, or could this indicate another issue? Please advise.

If your last period was on 22nd July and the ultrasound shows a small sac without cardiac activity, it may still be early. Cardiac activity is usually seen by 6 to 7 weeks of pregnancy. Your doctor may advise a repeat ultrasound after 1 to 2 weeks to check for cardiac activity. Get a serum beta hCG test if advised to track pregnancy progress.

View allHello doctor, I had spotting, thread-like, once a day on 7, 8, and 9 DPO, then it stopped. Again, from 13 DPO, I am having brown discharge. Today, on 15 DPO, I am having a little more discharge. I am also suffering from mild to moderate back pain since 4 DPO and today I had light cramps on and off. My period is late by 4 days. I took a pregnancy test at 12 DPO but it was negative. What may be the reason for these symptoms and on and off spotting?

Dear Doctor, I delivered a baby girl via cesarean section. Since past week, I have been feeling weak. Today, I did a home pregnancy test, and it came out positive. I am worried because I recently delivered and am concerned about being pregnant again so soon. Could you please advise if this result is likely valid, and what steps I should take next?

Hi, I have missed my period for 6 days. When I checked with an HPT, it was positive, and the test line is much darker than the control line. I am having mild pain and a sensation on one side of my abdomen. Is this normal? The pain is very mild, but I am worried if this could be a serious issue?
