My left elbow has been swollen for about 3 weeks but there's no pain. A doctor diagnosed it as olecranon bursitis and suggested surgery, also prescribed sporidex AF 750 and Chymoral Forte for a week. Are there any non-surgical options to treat this? If surgery is really needed, what would be the approximate cost in Bangalore?

View allI'm dealing with a mild disc bulge at the L5S1 level and kind of confused about which specialist to see. Should I go to an orthopedic doctor or a neurosurgeon for this? Any advice would be really appreciated.
For a mild disc bulge at the L5-S1 level, it's recommended to consult an Orthopedic Doctor (Orthopedic Spine Specialist) initially, as they can assess and manage most spinal conditions, including disc bulges; if surgery is required or if there are neurological concerns, your orthopedic doctor may refer you to a Neurosurgeon for further evaluation and treatment.

I've been dealing with some pretty uncomfortable pain in my right hip for the past few days, especially when I sit down. The pain starts at the top and runs all the way down my leg. It's even tough sitting when I need to go to the bathroom. Now the pain seems to be moving to the front, around my pelvic area. What could be causing this, and what should I do about it?
The pain in your right hip, radiating down to the leg and pelvic area, especially when sitting, could be indicative of sciatica, piriformis syndrome, or a herniated disc; consult an orthopedic specialist or primary care physician for a proper evaluation, and consider applying ice, stretching, and over-the-counter pain relievers to alleviate symptoms in the meantime.
