My left elbow was fractured when I was a kid but didn't heal properly, so now my arm isn't straight. If I get surgery to fix it, will it look and feel natural? Is surgery a good long-term solution for this?

Yes, surgery can be a good long-term solution for a malunion (incorrectly healed) elbow fracture. The goal is to realign the bone and improve function. While surgery can significantly improve the look and feel of your elbow, it's unlikely to be completely natural, and some limitations in range of motion or strength are possible

I have a partial to near complete ACL ligament tear according to my MRI report do I really need surgery or are there other treatment options that could work for me? I'm worried about recovery time and whether I can avoid going under the knife.

if the MRI report says that you have a complete tear of the ACL. ACL is one of the stabilizers of the knee. Without the ACL, the knee will become unstable and the other parts of the knee will undergo more pressure/wear and tear. So it is important to get a surgery... especially at your young age. Had you been above 45-50 years of age, surgery may not have been compulsory. But right now, it is very essential to get it done. If you still don't want surgery, you will need to follow a few precautions to ensure that the knee does not undergo more wear and tear. These are: *Avoid sitting/sleeping on the floor. *Avoid using stairs as much as possible. Use a lift whenever you can. *Avoid using an Indian Toilet. Use a Western style toilet or a foldable toilet chair

I've been diagnosed with grade 4 chondromalacia and a partial ACL tear can this be fully fixed with surgery or will physiotherapy be enough to recover properly

With both Grade 4 chondromalacia and a partial ACL tear, a combination of physiotherapy and potentially surgery may be needed for optimal recovery, depending on the severity of your symptoms and activity level. While physiotherapy can be effective for both conditions, surgery may be required for a full recovery, particularly if you have a high-demand lifestyle or experience significant instability

My mom just had hip replacement surgery and now she's dealing with vomiting and loose motions especially during meals. Would vomikind syrup or tablet be okay to give her for this?

It's generally not recommended to administer Vomikind syrup or tablets without consulting a doctor, especially after surgery. Vomikind, which contains ondansetron, can be helpful for managing nausea and vomiting, but it's crucial to determine the underlying cause of the vomiting and loose motions and to ensure it's safe for your mother to take given her specific medical history and recent surgery
