My left eye has high myopia at 19D and my right eye is at 4D. I was recommended ICL surgery but waiting a year since my power isn't stable my left eye changed from 18D to 19D. Now I'm noticing double vision sometimes with this new prescription. Will this get better on its own or could it be something more serious?

is it possible to correct my 1.75 eye power without surgery since I'm only 17 years old

Yes, it is possible to correct a 1.75 diopter (1.75 eye power) without surgery, even at your age. Since you're 17, your eyes may still be developing, and it's worth exploring all options with an eye doctor

Are there specific tests or symptoms we should look for?

To determine if your uncle has myopic CNVM, it's crucial to seek a comprehensive eye exam and imaging tests. While CNVM is a condition associated with degenerative myopia, it's not always present and might not be immediately apparent during a routine eye exam
