View allI just got my MRI report and it shows a bucket handle tear in the body and posterior horn of the medial meniscus, along with grade I chondromalacia patellae and moderate joint effusion with suprapatellar bursal fluid. I'm really worried do I need surgery for this or can it be managed with physiotherapy? What are my options here?
Bucket handle tear requires Arthroscopic meniscal repair, if tear is 2 months and less. Menisectomy if it's old.

My mom had surgery 5 months ago and just started weight bearing as the doctor advised. Her recent x-ray shows one of the screws has moved slightly but the doctor said it shouldn't be an issue and told her to keep walking. Now she's feeling pain when she walks even though she hasn't really started walking properly yet. Is this normal?
Mild screw movement post-surgery is common but pain on walking suggests possible irritation—limit weight bearing and recheck X-ray or get second opinion.
