My mom had knee surgery for a fracture and she has hypothyroidism but we didn't get her thyroid levels checked before the surgery was that really necessary or could it affect her recovery

Uncontrolled hypothyroidism can impact surgical recovery—thyroid function should ideally be checked pre-op.

Looking for a good doctor in Delhi NCR for my mom's knee replacement surgery. She has stage III osteoarthritis and I was considering Dr. Ali Arora at Max but wondering if there are better options. Would really appreciate recommendations from anyone who has personal experience with a doctor for TKR and an idea about the estimated cost

Dr Ashok Rajgopal of Fortis hospital is good.

My niece is 14 and was born with clubfoot her left foot is bent and she has trouble walking. I can share her X-ray report. Can this be treated without surgery?

Yes, your niece's clubfoot could potentially be treated without surgery, even at age 14, depending on the severity and the specific treatment approach. While the most effective time to address clubfoot is in infancy, there are techniques that can still be successful in older children.

I've been experiencing this constant tightness and strain in my upper chest wall, like it's always tense, especially when I do anything using my left hand. I recently found out my Vitamin D and B12 levels are significantly low from a blood test. I've started taking Tayo 60K for Vitamin D, and just a couple of days ago, I began MeAxon Plus for B12. I'm not sure if these are related, but about 10 months ago, I lifted a heavy bag and twisted my spine, which caused me quite a bit of pain, but it went back to normal the next day. However, the strain in my chest hasn't gone away since then. Can you help me understand what's going on and how I can get better?
