My mom has severe osteoarthritis and the doctor recommended knee replacement but we're hesitant to go for surgery. Is there any medicine that can help manage the pain without relying on painkillers? I heard about M1V711 but not sure if it's still approved and available. Also, can Cartigen Duo provide any relief for her condition? Looking for alternatives to reduce her pain.

View allHey, I've been experiencing joint and muscle pain that seems to move around my body. Every morning I wake up feeling really stiff and achy, but after some light exercise, the pain usually eases off. It gets much worse during the winter months, and honestly, the pain becomes unbearable. I'm pretty sure this all kicked off when I was around 15 years old. Could you suggest what kind of specialist I should consider seeing?
You may benefit from seeing a Rheumatologist. They specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the joints, muscles, and bones. In the meantime, you can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen (e.g., Advil) as needed for pain relief.

I've been dealing with this constant pain in my ribs, on both sides, but it's worse on the left. It's been going on for the last couple of years, and the pain comes and goessome days it's really bad, and others it's not there at all. I'm 31, weigh 104, and I'm about 5'7". I'll admit, I don't have the healthiest lifestyle, and I used to smoke. I've done some tests like a 2D echo, a stress test, an endoscopy, and a chest X-ray, and everything came back normal. My blood pressure is a bit high, and I have thyroid issues, but all my other blood work looks good, except for some cholesterol issues. I'm just trying to figure out what might be causing this rib pain. Any ideas on what could be going on or what I should do next?
