My mother is 53 years old and has diabetes. Her recent blood report shows, serum creatinine is 1.0 mg/dL, blood urea is 33 mg/dL, cholesterol is 144 mg/dL, fasting blood sugar is 104 mg/dL, and post meal blood sugar is 177 mg/dL. Are these results concerning, and what should be the next steps for her care?
