My periods are 4 days late, and I have cloudy discharge. I did a pregnancy test yesterday, which was negative. My last intercourse was on 31st August, after which I got my period. Last month has been very stressful, with on and off fever, cough, extreme emotional stress, and sleepless nights due to personal issues. Could these factors be the reason for my delayed period?

A delay of 4 days in your period with a negative pregnancy test can often happen due to stress, illness, and poor sleep. The cloudy discharge may be normal if there is no itching or foul smell. If your period does not start within a week, repeat the urine pregnancy test to confirm. If irregular cycles continue, a thyroid profile and CBC may help check for other causes.

I had a lower abdomen ultrasound done recently. I am unmarried and worried about pregnancy. My last menstrual period was on 5th January. I am unsure if the sonographer properly examined my uterus. I have attached my report and ultrasound images for your review.

I have irregular periods and took a urine pregnancy test 21 days after having unprotected sex. What are the chances that this result could be a false negative?
