My periods are delayed by five days. I have not had unprotected penetrative sex. I took a urine pregnancy test, as advised by a doctor online, and it was negative. What should be the next step?

A 5 day delay in your period with a negative urine pregnancy test and no unprotected penetrative sex is reassuring. Stress, travel, illness, or hormonal fluctuations can cause minor delays in your cycle. It is best to wait for another week, and if your period does not start, repeat a urine pregnancy test for reassurance. If your cycles continue to be irregular, consult your doctor for further evaluation to check thyroid or hormonal levels if needed.

View allMy last period was on 1st August, and it has been 37 days since the start of my cycle, but my period has not yet arrived. I have been experiencing white discharge for the past 4 days. I took a pregnancy test on the 35th and 37th day, and both were negative. What should I do now?

How accurate is a UPT result at 9 weeks after unprotected sex? Can taking UTI medication interfere with the results of the UPT? Can I fully trust the result at this stage? Please help.

Hi, on the 17th day of my period I went for a follicular study. My doctor injected HCG 10000 for egg rupture on the 18th day. I assume my egg ruptured then, but we were not able to have intercourse. On the 19th day, the doctor confirmed that the egg had ruptured. Since I did not have intercourse on the 18th day when the egg ruptured, is there any chance of pregnancy?
