My sinuses are killing me and the pain is unbearable, especially when I lie down it feels like someone's smashing my nose with a hammer. My throat hurts too and there's so much pressure building up. I really don't want to go straight to surgery or antibiotics, are there any natural remedies that can help with this?

Sinus pressure occurs when the membranes that line your nasal passages become irritated or inflamed. Mucus may also build up and stop draining, leading to pain and pressure. Causes include colds, allergies and sinus infections. Taking over-the-counter medications and keeping your sinuses moist can help ease discomfort.

I've been dealing with severe headaches for months, and an ENT doctor diagnosed me with a mucosal polyp growth in my nose, recommending surgery. My sinuses hurt a lot, and sometimes there's discharge. I'm worried should I go for the surgery or are there other treatments? Some relatives say the surgery might cause future issues like more headaches is that possible? Could you advise?

yes, continue same treatment,if medical therapy fails, surgery is advised to the patient.

I'm about a month post-tympanoplasty and I'm still having issues with itching and noises in my ear. Should I be concerned that it's not healing properly, or is this normal and just taking time to get better?

It's normal for some residual symptoms like itching and sounds to persist for a few weeks after tympanoplasty, as the ear canal and eardrum take time to heal; however, if the symptoms persist or worsen, consult your ENT surgeon to rule out any complications, such as graft failure, infection, or middle ear fluid, and to determine the best course of action.

I'm really concerned about my hearing. Over the past four months, I've been experiencing sensorineural hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, and tinnitus. The sounds I'm dealing with are around 60 to 70 dB. Could you help me understand what's going on and what options I might have?

Chronic cold symptoms may indicate chronic sinusitis. Cetirizine helps alleviate symptoms, but a permanent cure depends on the underlying cause. Possible treatments for chronic sinusitis: - Antibiotics (if bacterial infection) - Nasal corticosteroids - Saline nasal irrigation - Surgery (in severe cases) Consult an ENT specialist for: - Proper diagnosis - Personalized treatment plan - Discussion of potential allergen avoidance or immunotherapy Note: Cetirizine is an antihistamine, not a cure for sinusitis.
