My son accidentally drank some diluted Dettol a couple of days ago. I reacted quickly by brushing his teeth and making him drink a lot of water. Thankfully, he seems normal now and I haven't noticed any effects yet. Should I be worried about any side effects showing up later?

The oily substance you noticed could be due to:
- Excess sebum: Anal glands produce sebum, which can mix with stool.
- Mucoid discharge: The anus naturally produces mucus, which can appear oily.
- Dietary factors: Consuming oily foods or supplements (e.g., fish oil) might contribute to the oily appearance.
- Gastrointestinal issues: Certain conditions, such as malabsorption or pancreatitis, can cause oily stools.
When to be concerned
- Persistent or excessive oil: If the issue persists or worsens.
- Other symptoms: Diarrhea, abdominal pain, or blood in stool.
- Changes in stool color or consistency: If stools become pale, greasy, or floating.

View allI'm really worried about my 2-month-old son who's been on formula milk since birth. He recently got pneumonia and was hospitalized. Sometimes, I hear crackling sounds when he breathes, and I'm concerned there might be fluid in his lungs. Could it be a lung abscess? He's generally playful and feeds well, but sometimes he breathes fast after feeding. His chest seems fine most of the time, so I'm confused. Is lung abscess something that develops after chest congestion, or can it happen without any obvious congestion?

My little one is 2 years and 2 months old, and I'm thinking about starting Junior Horlicks Stage 1. I'm unsure what the right age is since I noticed that both the Stage 1 and Stage 2 packs mention not giving it to children under 2 years old, but there's no more detailed age info. Could you help me with when might be a good time to start?

I'm really worried about my 2 and a half-year-old son. He has a cold with a runny nose and sneezing, and he also occasionally gets a fever. Our pediatrician suggested Mucolite Alex Junior for the cold and cough, but it hasn't really helped. We then went to an ENT specialist who said he might have allergies and soft tissue issues, and she recommended Sinarest, Levolin, Gudcef, and Montek LC. I'm feeling really confused about these different medications and what's actually wrong. Could you help me understand what's going on and whether were on the right track with his treatment?
No need to worry and I suggest you to follow ENT doctors advice and give your child warm foods and feed him often
