My son's recent x-ray report shows he has severe adenoid hypertrophy, and the doctor suggested surgery. I'm really worried and wondering if there's any treatment option other than surgery. Also, if we do go the surgery route, is it a permanent solution, or is there a possibility that the problem might come back later?

I've been dealing with this annoying pricking sensation in my throat, and it's really starting to bother me. It's right at the front on the right side and only seems to happen when I swallow my saliva. Im not sure what could be causing this. Could it be something serious or just a minor issue?
