I've been having pain and occasional wetness in my left ear, and my doctor recommended surgery to close a hole. My ranula mucocele keeps shrinking and refilling but doesn't hurt or cause any issues - is surgery really needed if it's not bothering me? I'm nervous about going under the knife for something that seems harmless right now
