My test result shows a level of 165.9 mg per dL. What is the normal range for this? I eat a lot of meat, could that be the reason for this high value? What steps can I take to lower it?

Uric acid 165.9 mg per dL is well above the normal 3 to 7 mg per dL range. Please check if the unit is correct. If it really is uric acid, heavy red meat intake and dehydration can push it up. Cut meat, alcohol, and hydrate. Get retest to confirm.
Dr. Yusuf Suggests...
Take a Uric Acid Test Test or Take a Lipid Profile Test Test

Hello Sir, My name is Omkar Prasad Acharjee. Recently, I took a blood test and found my uric acid level to be 8.2. My blood sugar is 88 fasting and 107 postprandial, and my blood pressure is 130/80. My total bilirubin level is 1.29. I am currently worried about whether my uric acid level indicates any severity. I have pain in my legs and joints, some inflammation with mild pain in different parts of the body, and I also have gastric troubles. I am concerned about my condition. Is there anything to worry about regarding my kidneys? I am seeking expert advice. Thank you.

My aunt is 55 years old and recently her left foot began to swell with pain. She has had this issue before, which was previously caused by raised uric acid levels, but this time her uric acid is not significantly elevated. She is also taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, and hypothyroidism. The pain and swelling are not improving with the medicines she previously used, including FURIC 40 for uric acid and Nucoxia 90 for pain and swelling. Her recent thyroid function test results are TSH 2.32 microIU/mL, T3 1.13 nmol/L, and T4 165.80 nmol/L. I am also uploading her lipid profile and uric acid test reports. Kindly review and advise on the possible cause and next steps for treatment.
