My tonsils have been swollen for almost 3 weeks now and nothing from allopathy seems to help. Doctors are suggesting surgery but I'm not sure if that's the only option left. What else can I try before going for surgery?

Tonsillitis generally lasts around a week. However, when it lasts longer than 14 days, it's considered chronic tonsillitis. Chronic tonsillitis may lead to other conditions that need additional treatment. If you have recurring bouts of tonsillitis, you may need to have your tonsils surgically removed.

View allI've been dealing with a blocked right ear for about two years now, and despite checking it out several times, no one can say what's wrong. Lately, I've also had this feeling of mucus at the back of my throat that I can't seem to cough up. It's really affecting my daily life because whenever I talk, it feels like there's an echo of my own voice in my head. What could be causing this and how can I make it go away?

I've been dealing with something really weird and it's got me a bit concerned. So, a few times now, I've coughed up this big, white, cheese-like chunk that smells terrible. I had to vomit a few times to get it out, and it's left me with some congestion in my throat. It was massive, white, and I'm not sure if it's coming from my stomach or somewhere in my throat. I haven't had any cheese or paneer recently, so I'm puzzled. There's no pain, fever, or anything like that, but I'm unsure if it could be a tonsil stone, though it was really big. Any ideas on what's happening here?

I'm dealing with a sore throat that really bothers me at night, but it gets a bit better from morning to afternoon. There's no fever or anything like that. I'm finding it hard to concentrate on my exams because of this. What can I do to ease the discomfort?
It sounds like you may be experiencing symptoms of a viral infection causing your sore throat. To help relieve your symptoms and focus on your exams, you can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen (e.g. Tylenol) or ibuprofen (e.g. Advil) for pain relief. Additionally, you can use throat lozenges or gargle with warm salt water to soothe your throat. It's also important to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and get enough rest. If your symptoms persist or worsen, it's best to consult with a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.
