A TSH of 4.86 is slightly above normal. It may suggest mild hypothyroidism, but this is not confirmed unless Free T3 and T4 are also low. Retesting in 4 to 6 weeks is helpful to see the trend before starting medication.

I am taking tablets for thyroid of 25 mcg. My T3 and T4 are normal but my TSH is increased to 8.71. Last month, I suffered from dengue, so my doctor suggested taking 50 mcg. I have a doubt that my TSH may have increased because of dengue. Should I take 50 mcg or not?

I am four weeks pregnant. As per my blood test report, my thyroid level is 10.58. I have also undergone a gall bladder operation four years ago. I am 23 years old, and my recent thyroid test results are: TSH: 4.826, T3: 3.26, T4: 1.02. Am I considered to have thyroid disorder? Should I change my diet? I am unable to eat rice and have to eat smaller meals.
