My uncle could see just six months ago but now he's completely blind. Is there any surgery or treatment that could help restore his vision? What could have caused such a sudden loss of eyesight?

While there isn't a guaranteed cure for blindness, treatments can sometimes help restore or manage vision loss, depending on the cause and how far it's progressed. Sudden vision loss can be caused by several factors, including retinal detachment, stroke, optic neuritis, and problems with blood flow to the eyes.

View allI have myopia with 5 and 4 power in my right and left eye and recently started seeing flashes. I also have retinal degeneration. I've seen four doctors two recommended barrage laser as a precaution while the other two said to wait unless my retina detaches. I'm 28 and unsure if I should get the laser done now or wait. If I do go for it, should it be done in one session for both eyes or split into multiple sittings? What would you suggest?
Barrage laser can prevent retinal detachment in high-risk degeneration; it’s usually safe to do both eyes in one sitting—go ahead if advised by retina specialist.

How can I fix my eyesight without needing glasses? I really don't want to wear spectacles anymore. My eyes start hurting when I don't use them regularly. Are there any eye drops, medicines, or other natural ways to slowly reduce my power over time? I'm okay if it takes a year or longer I just want to avoid surgery and eventually stop wearing glasses. What would you suggest?
