My urine test report shows pus cells 50 to 60, leucocyte esterase positive +++, epithelial cells 18 to 20, and pap smear shows inflammatory cervix smear (dense). What does this mean?

These results point to a urinary tract and possible cervical infection. You should take a urine culture test immediately to confirm the infection and guide treatment. Follow up with a repeat Pap smear if symptoms persist.

Hi, my wife and I went on a 12 days international vacation and were scheduled to go for our 12 week pregnancy scan immediately after returning. We had a long international flight and got the scan and urine test immediately. While the NT scan and other reports are fine, the urine report shows 6 to 8 pus cells with a urine pH of 8. Is this possibly due to temporary dehydration from travel or is it something more serious? My wife does not have any other symptoms and is fine. We are asking this since we can only meet our doctor in a wee time. Thanks.
