My wife is 25 weeks pregnant and has been suffering from painful external hemorrhoids for the past 6 days. The general surgeon prescribed anti-inflammatory cream, Ultracet tablets, anti-swelling meds, fiber-rich food, water, milk, and stool softeners, but she's still in a lot of discomfort. Is hemorrhoid surgery safe during pregnancy or are there other options we should consider? The pain isn't easing up and we're really worried about her condition.

I'm really worried about the results from my recent color Doppler. It showed a baby weight of 2.293 grams, AFI at 6.5, and two loops of the cord around the neck.
