My wife has Thalassemia Minor, while my blood report for Thalassemia is negative. In this situation, what are the chances of our baby having Thalassemia? Should we proceed with having a child? Will the child be able to lead a healthy life?

Since you are not a carrier, the baby would not have Thalassemia Major. The baby might be a minor carrier like the mother, but that would not affect health. You can plan your pregnancy confidently.

View allHi madam, my son Virat regularly has cold and other related problems like itchy nose, rubbing eyes, and itching in fold areas such as under the neck, under the penis, behind the knees, and itchy scalp, especially when oil is applied. I have been using homeopathy medicines from Homeo Mall near my home, but there is no result. Recently, I visited Rainbow Hospital and they have given a few medications. If I do not give them even for one day, the itching increases. I have consulted many allopathic doctors, but there is no result. I have his blood test report from 9 months back, which shows eosinophils count is high.
