My wife was diagnosed with typhoid fever 3 days ago, but she has been ill for the past week. The doctor prescribed Taximo 400 twice daily and Calpol 650 for fever. However, her fever has remained steady between 101 to 104F for the last 3 days. I am attaching the test report. Could you please advise if we need to worry or consider changing the medication? The doctor mentioned that this might be a rare type of typhoid.

Persistent high fever needs reassessment. Consider repeat blood cultures or switch antibiotics under doctor supervision.

View allI recently had a Typhidot IgM test, which came back weak positive two days ago. My father arranged for a railway doctor in my hometown, who, after reviewing my report, prescribed Azithromycin 1 gm in the morning and Levofloxacin 750 mg at night. Today is my second day of medication and the sixth day of typhoid symptoms. My fever goes down after taking the medicines, but a mild fever (98.8 to 99.1F) returns after 8 to 9 hours. I am very nervous because of the many negative stories about typhoid online, and I am alone in Delhi. I am concerned whether this dose is appropriate or too high, and whether this treatment is safe and effective.

Hello I was diagnosed with typhoid in August. From that day till now I have visited many doctors and I am still using antibiotics. Today I got my blood sample tested again for typhoid and it is still showing positive. I am still feeling weakness and have lost around 10 kg in these 3 months. I am attaching my report. Please can anyone tell me how many days it will take to recover completely? Answer will be appreciated. Thank you.

I have been experiencing continuous headache for the past 4 to 5 days along with intermittent fever. My malaria test is negative, and according to the lab assistant, my typhoid test is positive. My typhoid report shows: O: 1:120 TH: 1:60 BH and AH: Not detected I am confused whether this indicates typhoid or not, and if not, what could be causing my headache and fever? Please advise.
