Is Numbness a serious problem?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Numbness is most commonly associated with some type of nerve damage, irritation, or compression. When numbness occurs without other symptoms, it doesn't typically represent a medical emergency. However, numbness can be a symptom of a serious condition if it occurs alongside symptoms such as: numbness on one whole side of body, sudden onset, dizziness/giddiness. One can not totally differentiate the cause unless examined by an expert, so it is suggestable to consult a doctor.

View allFor almost two weeks now, I've been having trouble with my balance. It's making it hard for me to work. Whenever I move, I feel like my head gets heavy or light, and sometimes it's even like everything's spinning. Walking is really tough because I can't stay steady. I went to see an ENT doctor and took the medication they gave me for five days, but nothing's changed. How long does it usually take for these symptoms to go away, or do you think it could be something more than an ENT issue? I'm worried because this is affecting my job too. What should I do next?
That needs evaluation like ct brain and sr electrolytes, visit neuro physician for the same and appropriate management

So I've been dealing with these migraine headaches lately, and my doctor told me to use Naxdom 500 only when I actually have a headache. But here's the thingI've been taking it twice a day for the past three days because the headaches just won't quit. Should I have been sticking to just once a day, or am I handling this the right way? It just feels like they're not going away.
Naxdom-500, containing Naproxen, is typically prescribed for migraine headaches as needed, with a usual dosage of 1-2 tablets (500mg) per day, but not exceeding 1250mg in 24 hours.

My wife has been dealing with headaches for the past 3 years, and over the last 45 months, they've gotten really severe. An MRI scan showed she has an arachnoid cyst. The pain is mostly at the back of her head, and sometimes when it's really bad, she feels like vomiting. Is there any treatment for this, or can it be cured without surgery?
