Please check this report and tell me that report is normal or any major problem? Creatinine range in my report is 1.6. Is it a major problem? Can you help me?

A creatinine of 1.6 is mildly elevated and may suggest early kidney function changes. Drink water, avoid painkillers, and repeat test or check eGFR/KFT.

My father is 65 years old and is suffering from hernia. The doctor has advised surgery. During the pre operative examination, his creatinine level was found to be 2.3, and we were advised to consult a nephrologist for further evaluation. Does this creatinine level indicate kidney failure? If yes, to what extent, and how can it be managed? Also, can we safely proceed with the hernia operation? For context, he has diabetes, but his blood pressure and sugar levels are under control.
