Shankar Netralaya in Chennai diagnosed my daughter with retinitis pigmentosa in her eyes. I read online that the only available surgery is bionic eye in the US, but I wanted to check if there are any other successful treatments in India maybe in allopathy, ayurveda, or homeopathy. If not, can you suggest a doctor in India who does the bionic eye procedure?

View allMy dad needs cataract surgery and we're stuck on choosing the right lens. We were considering the trifocal Indian lens (Tridiff TF) but heard imported ones like Zeiss TF might be better. The cost with imported lenses is double though. Is the difference in quality worth the extra money or are Indian lenses just as good?
Eye opinion is advised to the patient.

I've had scalp psoriasis for years but it's well controlled with treatment would refractive surgery like LASIK be risky for me or is it safe to go ahead since it's only affecting my scalp?
Scalp psoriasis doesn't affect LASIK safety—generally safe if eyes are healthy.

I've been researching Femto LASIK and SMILE LASIK for my vision correction but I'm a bit confused about the differences between them. Which one is safer and has fewer complications? I'm worried about recovery time and long-term effects can you explain which procedure might be better for someone with moderate myopia?
SMILE LASIK is generally considered more minimally invasive and potentially safer than Femto LASIK, with reduced risk of flap-related complications and dry eye. While both have similar recovery times, SMILE may offer an advantage for individuals prone to dry eyes. For moderate myopia, SMILE may be a better option due to its minimal invasiveness and lower risk of complications
