She was diagnosed with typhoid on September 1, and although her blood reports now confirm that the typhoid has been cured, she is still experiencing abdominal pain. Despite taking gastric medication, the pain continues. Please advise on what could be causing this ongoing discomfort and what further steps or tests should be considered.

Abdominal pain post typhoid could be residual gut inflammation or gastritis from medication. If it persists, further evaluation is needed. Avoid heavy food and continue light diet.

View allMy wife has been suffering from constant stomach pain for the last 15 to 20 days. We visited a doctor and had a blood test that confirmed typhoid. She has been taking medication prescribed by the doctor for one week. After that, we did another blood test and stool examination as advised, and the doctor said the typhoid is cured, but there is still a stomach infection because there is some blood in the stool. She was given another three day course of medicine, but there has been no improvement. Please suggest what we should do next.
