Sir, I've been dealing with occasional pain in my knee joint, wrist joint, and finger joints for about a year now. Sometimes I even notice swelling in my wrist and finger joints, but it goes away after a while. My blood uric acid level is at 7.4 mgdl, and I make sure to exercise regularly. Could you please suggest a permanent treatment for this?

Aapke joints me pain aur swelling ke saath uric acid level high hone ka matlab ho sakta hai ki aapko gout ho. Uric acid control ke liye purine-rich foods (jaise red meat, alcohol, aur seafood) se bachna zaroori hai. Regular exercise ke saath, ek rheumatologist se milkar medication jaise allopurinol ya febuxostat discuss karein.

View allIs there any other way to treat costochondritis besides taking anti-inflammatory tablets? I've been dealing with this for almost two months, and it's really affecting me mentally with all the anxiety and fear it brings.
Consider exploring alternative treatments for costochondritis, such as physical therapy, heat or cold compresses, deep breathing exercises, yoga, or stress-reducing techniques like meditation or cognitive-behavioral therapy, under the guidance of a healthcare professional, to help manage symptoms and alleviate psychological distress.

I'm a 50-year-old woman and recently had a blood check-up done. My ESR came back at 60mm, but everything else like renal function, urine routine, and blood tests are normal, and I don't have any other health issues. I'm curious about what could be causing the high ESR. Can you help me understand why it might be elevated?
ESR, or erythrocyte sedimentation rate, is a non-specific marker of inflammation in the body. In your case, since other parameters like renal function, urine routine, and blood counts are normal, a high ESR could be due to various reasons such as infection, inflammation, autoimmune disorders, or certain cancers. Since you have no other health problems or illnesses, it would be advisable to further investigate the underlying cause of the high ESR. I would recommend consulting with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and possibly additional tests to determine the exact cause of the elevated ESR. Treatment would depend on the underlying condition identified.

I recently got my blood test results back and my ESR is at 89, which seems really high. I'm a bit worried and trying to figure out what might be causing it. I have a skin allergy right now and am taking anti-allergic tablets for it. Could the high ESR be due to the skin infection or maybe the medication? Would love some insight.
Chronic infection, allergies etc are responsible for raised ESR Not a serious problem
