So I've been having this annoying cough lately, and now I'm feeling this weird pain on the left side under my rib cage, right below my left breast. Do you think the cough could be causing the pain, or should I be worried about something else? Its kinda freaking me out a little.

I've noticed some blood in my sputum, but I don't have any pain in my throat or chest. What could be causing this?

Coughing up blood, also known as hemoptysis, can be caused by several factors such as an infection, bronchitis, or even nasal bleeding. If there's no pain in your throat or chest, it could be due to mild irritation or inflammation in the airways. However, it's important to get it checked by a doctor to rule out any serious conditions.

I've had a cough that just won't go awayit's been over 3 weeks now. I usually get coughs like this every winter, but this time I went for a Chest X-Ray to check for TB at a hospital in Delhi, and thankfully, I was told I don't have it. But then, I saw a pulmonologist with MBBS and DTCD who suggested I do a Montoux test, and now they're saying it's TB. Should I be doing more tests to be sure? If I start on medication, how often do I need to see the doctor for check-ups? Also, is it okay for me to travel outside the country while I continue the treatment?

I'm really worried about my grandfather. He just had a CT scan, and the doctors in our town said he has ILD. Given everything going on with the pandemic, we're struggling to get him to see a pulmonologist in a bigger city. He smoked once, worked at a cotton mill for two decades, and has been in agriculture and poultry farming. With all this, plus his age, I'm just wondering how much longer we can wait before seeing a specialist. Are there any temporary measures or remedies we can take at home to keep his ILD from getting worse until we can get that appointment? Would love any advice you can share.
