Is tea bad for thyroid?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
There are different types of thyroid disorders ranging from hypo or hyperthyroidism to thyroid cancer, each needing different diet restrictions. On a general note, research has shown that green tea and black tea (Green > black) both have goitrogenic and antithyroidal properties. On the other hand, few studies have shown that tea can reduce risk of thyroid cancer. More detailed studies are needed in this area. Hence, it is best to avoid tea or take it in moderation along with regular check on thyroid tests.

View allI've just turned 26 and I'm a guy. I got my thyroid test results back and found that my TSH level is super low at 0.01 uIUml, although my T3, T4, FT3, and FT4 levels are all normal. I'm a bit worried about what this means. Should I be concerned and think about seeing a doctor?
Yes it is. Low TSH with a normal t3 and t4 points to hyperthyroidism. Consult a physician.

I'm a 24-year-old woman, and I'm about 5 feet tall. I'm really hoping to add a little extra height, maybe even 2 inches if possible. I've heard exercise might help, but I'm curious if there are any healthy alternatives. My parents aren't very tall either, so I feel like this might be a genetic issue. Is there any chance for growth at 24, or am I out of luck? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
