I'm a bit concerned because my mom, who's strictly vegetarian, has been taking her prescribed medicine, but her vitamin B12 levels are turning out to be quite high. Should this be a concern?

High vitamin B12 levels can sometimes be a cause for concern, as it may indicate certain health conditions such as liver disease, kidney failure, or certain types of leukemia. However, in many cases, high vitamin B12 levels may not be harmful and can be due to factors such as dietary supplements or injections. It is important to consult with your healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and decide on the appropriate course of action.

I'm really worried about my mom. She's diabetic and has been dealing with this cold and fever for a while now. Her body temperature is pretty high, and she's feeling very weak, which is so unlike her since she used to be really active. There's no coughing involved, but I'm not sure which medicine would be best for her in this situation. Any advice?

Fever in a diabetic will subside only if blood sugar is under control. Paracetamol and cetrizine for fever and a course of antibiotic since we cant take a risk in a diabetic elderly.. will worsen quickly.. better consult and start treatment.

I've been feeling under the weather since this morning after drinking really cold water. My throat's sore and it hurts to swallow anything, plus I feel like I've got a bit of a fever. Could this be a throat infection? What should I do to feel better?

You may have developed a throat infection, also known as pharyngitis. To help alleviate your symptoms, you can try taking over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen for the fever and throat pain. Additionally, you can use lozenges containing benzocaine or menthol to help numb the throat and make swallowing easier. It is also important to stay hydrated by drinking warm fluids like tea with honey. If your symptoms persist or worsen, please consult a healthcare professional for further evaluation and management.
