My scalp is very itchy at times. I have attached my blood test report, which shows an ESR of 32. The doctor examined me and diagnosed a possible scalp fungal infection, prescribing medication. I have been experiencing a fever of 100 to 102F and a dry cough for the past 3 weeks. The coughing is causing headaches and abdominal pain. My blood tests were negative for typhoid, malaria, and Widal test, but my ESR is elevated at 59 (normal range 0 to 20). I am currently taking Almont Alcare, Curin M, Oceft CF 500, and a cough syrup. Despite the medications, my fever continues to fluctuate between 100 to 102F. Please suggest what could be causing this and what should be done next.
