View allI'm dealing with a kidney stone that's 11mm on the left side, and my doctors suggested going for Laser Surgery RIRS. I'm just wondering if lithotripsy is a possible option for my situation instead?
Lithotripsy can be a suitable option for treating kidney stones, including stones of 11mm size. Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) is a non-invasive procedure that uses shock waves to break down the kidney stones into smaller pieces that can be passed out in the urine. However, the effectiveness of lithotripsy depends on the composition and location of the stone. It is best to consult with your doctor to determine the most appropriate treatment option for your specific case.

Had a circumcision surgery last Saturday on 14 April but since yesterday I noticed some pus in the wound and it hurts when I try to clean it. Started taking ceftum 500 twice a day but not sure if washing with warm water will help or make the pus worse
It's important to seek medical advice immediately if you're experiencing pus and pain in a circumcision wound. While you're taking Ceftum, it's recommended to gently clean the area with warm water to help manage the infection, but you should not scrub or use harsh soaps. Warm water can help remove debris and promote drainage, but it's crucial to follow the guidance of your doctor, who may have specific instructions for wound care after circumcision.

I have phimosis and I'm not sure if I need surgery or if it can be treated with medicines. If medicines can help, could you let me know which ones might work for my condition?
Antibiotics for Phimosis In such a condition, treating the underlying infection would automatically provide relief from phimosis. For this purpose, your urologist may prescribe some antibiotics or antifungal medications. These medications can be oral or topical
