What is in the MMR?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
MMR vaccines contain live measles, mumps and rubella viruses that have been weakened (attenuated). These stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies for protection but do not cause disease in healthy people. Usual dosing in children is two doses - first at 9 to 12 months and second at 16 to 24 months of age.

View allMy baby's lips have started turning a blackish color over the last couple of days. She's eating normally, and everything seems fine in that department. However, she's passing liquid stool, and I'm concerned it might be related to the heat here. Could you provide some guidance on what might be happening?
It's good to hear that your baby is feeding well. Blackish lips can sometimes be due to dehydration or a lack of oxygen, but its important to monitor if this persists. The liquid stools could indeed be due to the heat; keep her well-hydrated, and if the symptoms continue or worsen, Id recommend a pediatricians consultation for a thorough checkup.

I'm really worried about my daughter who's been struggling with pneumonia for the last six years. She had a really bad attack and was admitted to the hospital. Over the past two years, she's been having chest pain and coughs a lot, especially when someone taps on her back. Should I be concerned about these symptoms? What do you think might be causing this, and are there any specific steps I should be taking to help her get better?
pneumonia doesn't last for this long. do one chest xray
