View allI've been prescribed SHELCAL D tablets, and I'm just wondering how effective they really are. I know my bones are pretty weak and my vitamin D level is 18.5. How long should I be taking this medication, and are there any side effects I should be aware of?
Its good.. but probably you need to take for life unless you dont decide to take proper balance diet and sun exposure.

I'm really concerned about my wife's health. Her TSH level is at 8.16, even though her T4 and T3 levels are normal. She's just entered her first trimester of pregnancy, and I'm worried. What could be causing her TSH to be high while her other thyroid levels are normal?

How many symptoms do I need to have to confirm my diabetes?
In most patients Diabetes does not show any symptoms or signs. So presence of zero or any symptom along with increased blood sugar levels confirm the diagnosis.
