What's going on with me? The right side of my throat is really swollen with this big white pus pocket in the tonsillar crypt and my lymphoid is swollen too. It kind of feels like there's a deep ear infection on that side. I'm also dealing with extreme fatigue, body aches, hot flashes, and cold sweats. Any idea what this could be?

View allI'm Zac and I've been having some issues lately. My tonsils have turned a yellow color, and it's been going on for a few days now. They seem to be getting worse, and there are more spots than before. About a month ago, I had a lot of swelling and pain in the same area. I'm really worried about what's causing all this. Any advice?
Pain in the jaw and throat area can be puzzling. Tonsillitis typically causes sore throat, fever, and difficulty swallowing. Your symptoms, focused on the outer throat and jaw, might suggest alternative causes: - Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder - Jaw alignment issues - Referred pain from dental problems Consider consulting an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialist or a dentist for a thorough evaluation.

I'm an 18-year-old guy and my voice hasn't deepened yet. I talked to some doctors and they said I have puberphonia. What can I do to get a deeper, more manly voice soon? Any advice would be super helpful.
Puberphonia, also known as mutational falsetto, is a condition where a person continues to speak in a high-pitched voice beyond puberty. To help deepen your voice, you can try voice therapy exercises. Additionally, testosterone therapy may also be considered in some cases. One medication that may be prescribed to help with voice deepening is testosterone. Testosterone can be prescribed in the form of Androderm patches, with a typical starting dose of 2.5 mgday. However, the dosage may vary based on individual needs and should be determined by your healthcare provider. It's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for proper evaluation and management of your puberphonia.

my mom has about 30% hearing loss and we're wondering if surgery is the only option or are there other treatments that could help her
For 30% hearing loss, hearing aids are usually the primary treatment option, rather than surgery. Hearing aids amplify sounds and improve speech understanding, especially in quiet environments. While surgery, like a cochlear implant, might be considered for more severe hearing loss, it's not the initial approach for moderate hearing loss
