View allI'm really worried about my thyroid test results. My TSH is at 2.5 and T3 is at 1.5, but my T4 level is pretty high at 17.2. Does this mean there might be a problem with conceiving?
I understand your concern for your mother's recurring mouth ulcers. Considering her condition, it's essential to consult a specialist, such as an oral pathologist or an oral medicine expert. Possible underlying causes: - Autoimmune disorders (e.g., lichen planus) - Nutritional deficiencies (e.g., vitamin B12) - Chronic stress - Hormonal imbalances Advanced treatments: - Biopsy to determine the underlying cause - Immunosuppressive medications - Laser therapy - Natural remedies like aloe vera, turmeric, or coconut oil Don't lose hope; a proper diagnosis and personalized treatment plan can help manage her condition.

Physical Activity, not Just Exercise, Key for Type 2 Diabetes
Physical exercise lowers blood glucose levels and blood pressure, improves blood flow, burns extra calories so you can keep your weight down if needed, improves your mood, can prevent falls and improve memory in older adults, may help you sleep better. I'm a bit worried about how long my immune system might stay suppressed after taking steroids. I am prediabetic, and I'm on steroids for a condition, but I'm not taking any additional medication for sugar control. Right now, I'm on Metformin 500mg to help avoid any steroid-induced diabetes from my post-covid treatment. I took Methylprednisolone: 16mg for 5 days, 8mg for the next 5 days, and then 4mg for another 5 days. The last steroid dose was on May 5th, and I tested positive for covid on April 13th. It's been about 21 days since I tested negative for covid. How long can I expect my immune system to be affected?
The immune system suppression caused by steroids can last for several months after stopping the medication. In your case, having taken Methylprednisolone for 15 days, with the last dose on May 5th, your immune system may take around 6-12 months to fully recover. However, this timeframe can vary depending on individual factors, such as the dose and duration of steroid use, as well as your overall health.
