Why is blood glucose elevated after exercise in a diabetic?
Strenous exercises such as weightlifting, sprints and competitive sports cause you to produce stress hormones (such as adrenaline). Adrenaline raises blood glucose levels by stimulating your liver to release glucose which is needed for the muscles during work outs.
The main thing to remember is that both are as serious as each other. Having high blood glucose (or sugar) levels can lead to serious health complications.
Weight loss can help in controlling but may not totally cure Diabetes.
Increased thirst, extreme hunger, unexplained weight loss, frequent urination, fatigue, irritability, blurred vision, slow healing wounds, presence of ketones in urine, fruity odour and frequent infections.
All green leafy vegetables are best for Diabetic as they are low calorie with high fiber and good source of protein.
