Why does it matter if blood cholesterol levels are high?
Answered by 1 Apollo Doctors
Cholesterol plaque and calcium cause your arteries to become hard and narrow. Hence, its puts strain in the walls to pump blood through them. As a result, your blood pressure becomes too high. High blood pressure and high cholesterol are two of the biggest causes of heart disease

View allRespected doctor, my 53 year old mother experienced high blood pressure today at 150/105, with a previous reading of 170/120 accompanied by headaches and a mild fever on August 2nd. She was doing well until now. Our entire family showed COVID symptoms in early August, and I tested positive, but we have since recovered. I am concerned about why her blood pressure is still high nearly a month later. She is currently taking Telsite 40 mg after breakfast. A 2D echo done a year ago showed excellent heart health. Our family doctor has advised doubling her Telsite dose to one tablet in the morning and one after lunch. I am seeking a second, honest opinion regarding this advice. I have attached her latest blood report taken on the day she had high BP and severe headache. Thank you and God bless.

I completed my medical report two days ago which showed an SGPT value of 104, blood pressure of 140 over 90, and a heart rate of 102. I do not have any symptoms. I would like to know what the possible treatment is and how this condition should be managed.
