Yesterday, I had a blood test due to a lump under my ear. The report shows my CRP level is 22.9. Could you please explain what might cause this elevated CRP level, and whether it is something serious?

A CRP of 22.9 suggests mild to moderate inflammation or infection. The knot may be a swollen lymph node. You should have a physical examination by a doctor. It is usually not serious, but should be reviewed by a doctor if it persists or grows or if u have a fever.
