Beta HCG blood test is the most accurate test to detect pregnancy. After 17 days of unprotected intercourse, a negative Beta HCG means youre likely not pregnant. No other test is usually needed after this. You can relax and stop worrying. If periods remain missed, repeat the test after 2 to 3 days for reassurance.

Hi Doctor, I think I have missed my period this month. I have tried two home pregnancy tests, taken 10 to 15 days after intercourse, but both results were negative.
